Ballyshannon’s Eavan Mulligan is celebrating success at the inaugural RTS Ireland Television Awards.
She produced the Poolbeg Productions documentary for RTÉ, New Gaels, which won the sport award category on Tuesday night.
The programme told the stories of four GAA players who began life in different countries. One of the programme contributors was Leitrim Hurler Zak Moradi (pictured).
The production beat off competition from other nominees such as TG4’s Laochra Gael episode on Kieran Donaghy, and Sky Sports’ Coverage of the GAA Championship.
Speaking to Ocean FM Sport when the documentarY was broadcast, Eavan recalled her personal connection with the subject matter:
