Cabinet facing a major restrictions dilemma



The cabinet will face its most difficult decision to date when it comes to deciding how to proceed with the Covid-19 restrictions from April 5th.

 

That’s according to Donegal TD Joe McHugh.

 

The cabinet are due to decide on Monday to decide what if any restrictions will be lifted. Ahead of Monday’s meeting pressure to ditch the 5K restrictions was stepped up at both the Fianna Fail and Fine Gael parliamentary party meetings last night by a number of rural TD’s.

 

Speaking to OceanFM news the former minister for education says it’s becoming increasing more difficult to have flexibility of movement for people and at the same time surprising the Covid-19 virus:

 

 

Deputy McHugh acknowledges that there is a Covid-19 fatigue setting in.  He says it’s vital that we don’t return to the numbers being experienced here in January but with pressure mounting to easy some restrictions, the Donegal TD says cabinet have a huge decision to make between now and Monday:
