Relocating city slickers driving up Donegal land prices

The cost of land in Donegal has increased in recent months.

Nationally the rate has risen to its highest point since 2008.

A study from the Irish Farmer’s Journal shows the highest prices were Donegal, Kildare and Waterford.

It’s believed the increase may be linked to more people working from home and larger number of those living in cities wanting to move to rural areas such as the North West for a better work/life balance.

Bundoran based auctioneer Comrac Meehan says there is evidence to suggest that prices are increasing.
