Local Publican seeks clarity in ‘living with Covid’ plan



A Sligo publican has called on the Government to provide some clarity on when the hospitality could re-open.

 

The Government will this week publish the latest edition of its living with Covid plan.  However the publication is not expected to contain many dates as when restrictions will be lifted.

Sligo Publican Enda Scanlon says the Taoiseach comments on Saturday that the hospitality will not be opening until Mid-June is just the latest example of the mixed messaging the sector has been receiving from government.

 

He says although not surprising, the comments from the Taoiseach were nonetheless disappointing:

 

 

 

Enda Scanlon also fears that the latest Living with Covid plan which will be published this week will  offer little clarity to those in the Hospitality sector when it comes to attempting to  plan for the remainder of 2021:
