Proposed US trip is damaging Fianna Fáil

A Sligo Fianna Fáil Councillor says the growing controversy that is surrounding the possible St Patricks day visit of the Taoiseach Michael Martin to the White House is damaging for the Party.

Ballymote Tubbercurry Fianna Fail Councillor Paul Taylor has expressed his concern with the situation adding that it’s creating the impression that Fianna Fail are lacking empathy with  the general public who are currently going through during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although visits to the White House in the past were seen as hugely beneficial to the development of Ireland’s economy, the Fianna Fail Councillor says that this year is an exception and health has to be the number one priority for everybody.
