Safety issues between Ballygawley and Castledargan Resort need to be urgently addressed.
That’s according to local Fine Gael Councillor, Thomas Walsh, who says a specific stretch on the R290 is unsafe for people to walk or cycle on.
A petition was started by the community in 2018 on the issue which Councillor Walsh says little progress has been made on.
Speaking to OceanFM news, he says there is an extremely dangerous corner, no footpath, and lighting Cllr Walsh is seeking a draft plan from Sligo County Council.
