Approval has been given by the Department of Education to the design team of the four master Gaelscoil in Donegal Town to apply for planning works for facility.
The news that the project can now move to the planning application process will come as welcome news to the local community and parents that have been working to ensure the progression of the project.
The news has been welcomed by Donegal TD Joe McHugh.
The former minister for education says the local community have always been committed to securing the long term future of the Gaelscoil.
