MLA calls for calm after some check stopped

A Northern Ireland Assembly member for the Fermanagh and South Tyrone electoral area has called for calm after the turbulent events of recent days where some animal and food checks at Larne and Belfast have stopped after graffiti opposing the Irish Sea border was painted in Loyalist areas.

The DUP also called on all Unionist parties to unite and undermine the Northern Ireland protocol.

Sinn Fein Northern Ireland Assembly member for Fermanagh and South Tyrone Jemma Dolan says threats to safety of workers from Northern Ireland’s Department of Agriculture while carrying out inspections cannot be tolerated.
