Remote theory testing required to address backlog

It’s emerged that 770 people in Sligo are awaiting an appointment for a Driver Theory Test.

As a result of the findings former Labour General Election candidate Nessa Cosgrove and reiterated her call to fast-track remote testing for those impacted by the delays.

The Sligo based Labour party member says the majority of those impacted are young people, and with inadequate public transport in many rural areas urgent intervention is required in the form of remote testing.
