A Sligo Councillor has expressed confidence that an improved public transport service will be provided in Sligo Town and County.
A delegation of Sligo Councillors met virtually yesterday with the National Transport Authority to discuss the issue.
Local residents had sought the provision of additional bus stops, facilities at existing stops to be upgraded and the remarking of road facilities at a number of stops.
Cllr Tom MacSharry described yesterday’s meeting as ‘positive’ in relation to a number of objectives sought by the delegation of councillors
