Taoiseach to address historic Irish Farmers Association’s AGM

The Taoiseach will come pressure to make a financial commitment when he addresses the Irish Farmers Association’s AGM today.

The 66th annual event is being held remotely for the first time, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The main topic will be the new Common Agricultural Policy budget, which EU member states are negotiating.

IFA president Tim Cullinan says farmers are strongly against one of the proposals.
