The rocky road to . . . . Collooney railway station

A Sligo councillor is calling for it to be made safer for people to walk from Collooney to the train station on the outskirts of the town.

Cathaoirleach of the Sligo/Drumcliffe Municipal District Cllr Thomas Walsh says parts of the route are damaged and uneven in many parts with flooding during heavy rain.

He also points out that there is not a continuous footpath from the centre of Collooney to the train station.
