Staffing a major problem at Letterkenny Hospital, says INMO

Staffing is now a major problem at Letterkenny University Hospital, according to the INMO.

Patients had to be treated in ambulances outside the hospital last night.

The INMO say seven ambulances were left waiting outside as there wasn’t enough space in the hospital because of Covid 19.

Letterkenny General Hospital has apologised and says they’ve secured extra staff and opened 11 more beds to cope with the demand.

Neal Donohue from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says staffing is a major problem
