The village of Dowra is to get more than €47,000 under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
Leitrim Councillor Enda McGloin says it will help provide walkers and cyclists with a ‘stopping off’ point and viewing area on the Leitrim side, costing a total of €52,000, where the River Shannon can be viewed entering Dowra, as it flows toward Lough Allen.
