Maxi Curran re-appointed as Donegal LGFA manager



Maxi Curran has been re-appointed as the Donegal women’s senior gaelic football manager for the 2021 season.

It will be his fourth year in charge of the senior county team.

Curran guided Donegal to a three-in-a-row of Ulster senior titles in 2019.

The Tir Chonaill girls were knocked out of this year’s All-Ireland senior football championship at the group stages – although they pushed eventual All-Ireland champions Dublin all the way in their encounter at Kingspan Breffni, going down by three pointts (1-13 to 1-10) in the end.

He has also taking up a role as coach of the Gweedore senior men’s footballers for next season.

Elsewhere, Glenfin’s Francie Martin as been appointed as Donegal LGFA minor football manager for 2021.

Liam Skelly will be in charge of the county under-16 team.
