Leitrim Ladies Football captain would welcome change

The Former GAA President Liam O’Neill says the Ladies Gaelic Football Association should be a part of the GAA.

It follows the controversy over the staging of the Cork – Galway game at Croke Park on Sunday.

The counties were given just two hours to adjust to playing the match at HQ because Parnell Park was unplayable – and Galway, who were en route to Dublin, only had seven minutes to warm up.

The Ladies Association is a separate organisation from the GAA.

Clare Owens is the Leitrim senior Football captain, she’s been telling OceanFM’s John Lynch that a moving the LGFA under the GAA umbrella would benefit ladies football.
