Call for meeting with Transport Authority on Sligo bus services

A Sligo councillor is calling for the National Transport Authority to meet a delegation from the council to discuss the bus service in Sligo town and county.

For some time, a number of councillors have been raising issues in relation to bus services in rural areas while a number of Sligo town councillors have been seeking an improved service in the Maugheraboy, Ballydoogan, Tracey Avenue, Larkhill and Rosehill areas.

Now, Fianna Fail Councillor Tom MacSharry is to call on the county council to seek a meeting with the NTA, which is the transport licensing agency for the country, when councillors meet this coming Monday.
