SME’s in the north west encouraged to apply for Brexit loan

A Sligo Councillor is encouraging SME’s in the north west to apply for a new Brexit loan.

The Microfinance Ireland Brexit Loan is available to businesses with less than 10 employees, have an annual turnover of less than €2m and the business turnover is or could be impacted by a minimum of 15%.

Loans range from €5,000 to €25,000 and the length of the terms range from 6 months to 3 years.

The Taoiseach, Micheal Martin, said yesterday that ‘things will be different’ come the 1st of January and is warning against ‘complacency’ in SME’s.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Cathaoirleach of Sligo/Drumcliffe Municipal District, Councillor Thomas Walsh says applications are now open and can be made through Micro Finance Ireland or Local Enterprise Offices .
