Athletic Grounds being re-laid for Ulster final

A new playing surface is being laid at the Athletic Grounds in Armagh ahead of Sunday’s Ulster football final between Donegal and Cavan.

The pitch appeared to cut up badly during last Sunday’s semi-final between Down and Cavan.

The Ulster Council has moved to allay fears about the condition of the pitch for the final, by re-sodding the entire surface.

Donegal manager Declan Bonner was asked about the choice of Ulster final venue earlier this week:

Sunday’s Ulster final will be live on Ocean FM from 4pm, in association with Donegal Plumbing & Heating.
