Motorists in the north west can expect to see more Garda Check points across from Donegal today.
Gardaí throughout Donegal will be partaking in an extensive network of static and random Covid-19 checkpoints from today.
As part of the operation they will be interviewing people at checkpoints to establish the nature of their journey, and to find out why they have left their residence.
Unless trips are to an essential retail outlet, essential service or for work in an essential outlet or service, Gardaí will be requesting members of the public to return to their homes.
The operation has been launched across the county has continued to remain busy and the numbers of positive COVID 19 cases are also failing to decrease.
Motorists are being urged to comply with Level 5 restrictions over the coming weeks, to reduce non-essential travel and to not leave their place of residence unless it’s necessary.
