New anti-racist coalition being set up amid fears about far-right

A worker with a Sligo Traveller support group says there’s a need for a new national anti-racist coalition that is now being set up.

The group is called Le Cheile, which means together.

Men’s Development Worker with the Sligo Traveller Support Group Jamie Murphy has been telling Ocean FM News why he thinks there is a need for this new coalition.

He says it’s about much more than the treatment of those in the Traveller community.

He also says there is concern about the growth of far-right groups in Ireland.
