Some day-case activity in Sligo University Hospital will be curtailed in the days ahead.
It’s because of an increase in Covid positive patients and close contacts currently in the hospital, according to the Saolta University Health Care Group.
It adds that affected day-case patients will be contacted directly.
Meanwhile, the hospital wants planned discharges to happen ‘as early as possible on the day of discharge’.
Yesterday, there were 21 new Covid cases reported in County Donegal yesterday, with fewer than five in Sligo and Leitrim.
