Donegal knock Tyrone out of championship

Donegal senior gaelic footballers remain on course for a three-in-a-row of Ulster titles after a gutsy 1-13 to 1-11 win against Tyrone in atrocious weather conditions at Ballybofey on Sunday.

Late points from the impressive Ciaran Thompson (0-7) and Oisín Gallen helped edge Declan Bonner’s side home – and set up a semi-final against Armagh who were 0-17 to 0-15 winners against Rory Gallagher’s Derry at Celtic Park on Sunday.
