Reduction in VAT Rate will give businesses a fighting chance

The decision taken yesterday to reduce the VAT rate for the hospitality sector from 13.5% to 9 % will give a number of North West Based businesses a fighting chance of surviving.

Those are the views of the chairman of the Donegal branch of the Irish Hotels Federation.

Speaking to Ocean FM news Paul Diver welcomed the reduction

Paul Diver who runs the Sandhouse Hotel in Rossnowlagh says all those involved in the Hospitality and tourism sector in the North West will be concerned with speculation that level 4 restrictions could be imposed on border counties to stop the spread of Covid-19.
