The Founder of Ireland’s future, reacts with fury to a recent article in ‘Irish Examiner” by Minister for the Environment Eamon Ryan.

The article states that it is the intention of Government to plant 30% of the country and reduce the national herd.

Gerry Loftus claims this is in complete contradiction to what was said by the main Political Parties during the election campaign.

The Dáil Business Committee recently approved the fast tracking of the Agriculture Appeals (Amendment) Bill to deal with the backlog in appeals of forestry applications.

Denis Naughten TD explains how there was  cross party support for the motion and how and the Dáil Business Committee decided to waive pre-legislative scrutiny to allow the new legislation to be debated in Seanad Éireann next week with plans under way for it to be considered by Dáil Éireann the following week.

We hear calls on the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Donegal TD, Charlie McConalogue, to repair relations and actively consult farm organisation representatives todays digital meeting of the TB Forum.

The calls have been made by the Roscommon East Galway TD and well know farmer Michael Fitzmaurice.
