The ESB have announced that they will not be erecting 5G equipment on the telecommunications mast beside the Teeling Community Centre in Collooney.
There was huge concern and anxiety throughout Collooney and Ballygawley areas last year when it was discovered that the ESB were proposing to develop a telecoms compound in Collooney which included the installation of a 5G dish adjacent to local businesses including a crèche.
Local Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy has welcomed the decision from the ESB not to proceed with the project.
