The news SLNCR Greenway in Manorhamilton has attracted large numbers to the north Leitrim town in recent months, providing a huge boost to the local economy of the town.
However the potential of the project could be impacted with issues over the maintenance of the facility.
That’s according to Manorhamilton Municipal District Councillor Frank Dolan.
At this month’s meeting of the local Municipal District the Fine Gael councillor highlighted the need for public lighting on part of the route and also voiced concerns in relation to overgrown hedges and dog fouling which has led to complaints from tourists and regular users of the Walkways.
