With the payment breaks on loans and mortgages due to end in the next number of weeks, calls have been made on the Government to publish a Debt Resolution Strategy for borrowers who have been impacted by COVID-19.
The calls have been made by the Sinn Féin spokesperson on Finance, Donegal TD Pearse Doherty.
With so many families in mortgage and loan arrears at present due to the pandemic, Deputy Doherty has called for an extension on payment breaks for a further 3 months for those remaining unemployed as a result of COVID-19.
