€180,000 for six Donegal projects

Almost €180,000 has been earmarked for six projects in County Donegal under the second round of the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.

€25,000 is going to Donegal Town for the establishment of an outdoor food market.

Similar amounts will go to Glen to enhance and support and existing outdoor recreational area; to Carrigart to modify and enhance accessibility in compliance with social distancing requirements; and to Clonmany for the provision of covered entrance areas to the community centre, with seating and rest stations.

Almost €40,000 is earmarked for improvement works to Buncrana Tourist Office and almost €40,000 to improve the walkability of Dungloe.

Agriculture Minister and Donegal TD Charlie McConalogue says all of the projects had been identified by local community groups and businesses, in conjunction with the county council.
