Club Sligo re-launched to help tackle €350k income shortfall



The Covid effect on the finances of Sligo GAA is now becoming apparent as the county board rolls out its revised Club Sligo draw for this year.

Sligo’s income is down an estimated €350,000 on 2019.

The Club Sligo project has been the primary vehicle which has helped the county substantially reduce historic debt.

Now, the revised Club Sligo draw for this year aims to help offset the financial shortfall caused by the pandemic.

This time around, it will be one single main car draw next month with a Volkswagon Polo to be won. There’ll also be several runners up prizes of All-Ireland final tickets.

Tickets cost 50 euro each.
