A mother and her baby from Geevagh in County Sligo, and late of Ontario in Canada, have died following a road traffic accident on August 19th near Dundalk.
Krista Rowan and her baby Ree, from Annagh Lodge, in Geevagh, died at the Beaumont Hospital in Dublin last Saturday.
The single-vehicle road traffic collision occurred on the M1 northbound between junctions 16 and 17, just after 11am on Wednesday, August 19th.
Krista, who was in her 30s, was a medical device sales representative with Boston Scientific. Following the accident, she was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with serious injuries.
She will repose at Annagh Lodge in Geevagh from 4pm until 8pm on this Thursday.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Krista and Ree in Markree Castle on Friday at 3pm. Cremation will take place in Dublin on Saturday.
Due to current restrictions, reposing, funeral and cremation are private for family and friends.
