The daughter of a 90-year old woman who attended Sligo University Hospital wants to know what is the policy or protocol for the care of patients if they have to continue to wait following triage assessment in the emergency department. It’s after the woman needed to go to the toilet and had to be helped by another person who was not a hospital staff member, despite the ill woman’s daughter, who had to wait outside the hospital, not being called in. Now, Pauline McDonagh also wants to track down the young woman who helped her mother.
