Local names appear on list of attendees at controversial golf event

A number of local politicians apparently attended the controversial golf event in Galway last Wednesday.

Agriculture Minister Dara Calleary has resigned after breaking the Covid-19 guidelines.

It appears that Leitrim Fine Gael Councillor Enda McGloin also attended the event.

Former Sligo Councillor and Fine Gael Senator Imelda Henry’s name also appears on the list of attendees along with former Sligo/Leitrim Fine Gael TD, Gerry Reynolds.

Under government guidelines, no more than 50 people can attend indoor events and no more than 6 per table.

81 people were at the event and it seems upwards of 8 people were seated at tables.

The event took place a day after the government announced the new guidelines.
