Donegal SFC – Kilcar and St Eunan’s draw

A second half comeback from St Eunan’s earned the Letterkenny men a draw in their Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure Donegal Senior Football Championship clash with Kilcar at O’Donnell Park on Friday evening.

A Paddy McBrearty penalty helped Kilcar to a seemingly comfortable 1-7 to 0-4 advantage at half-time, but St Eunan’s clawed back the deficit after the break with Padraig McGettigan’s final quarter goal the key score.

Both sides finished the match with 14 men, with Kilcar’s Andrew McClean being booked on two occasions while Niall O’Donnell of St Eunan’s also received his marching orders from match referee Jimmy White.

The draw sees both teams now on three points after both won their opening round fixtures.
