Gardai in Donegal have issued a warning to all shop owners after an attempt to steal items in foil-lined bags.
The attempted theft was disturbed in Letterkenny by a security staff member at a large store in the town.
A group of people had concealed approx. €450 worth of perfume in a number of the of bags, which are foil lined to prevent security tags activating at the store exit.
Gardai say there have been a number of similar style thefts across the country recently.
