Concern over anti-social behaviour, house parties, litter in scenic spots

A Sligo councillor says there is growing concern over anti-social behaviour which he believes is partly as a result of frustration because of Covid-19 restrictions.

However, Fianna Fail Councillor Donal Gilroy is urging people not to become complacent in the effort to prevent the spread of the virus.

But he says there is no excuse for anti-social behaviour such as noisy house parties attended by large numbers of people and rubbish being left behind at scenic sports where people had congregated.

Cllr Gilroy says the main problem seems to be as a result of get-togethers and parties in houses and in outdoor areas.
