Kilcar not running GAA Cúl Camp this year

Kilcar GAA club in Donegal has decided not to run its annual GAA Cúl Camp this year on health and safety grounds.

The club published the following statement on its social media pages on Tuesday:

“It is with regret that we have to advise that we are unable to run the Kelloggs Cul Camps this summer. Due to the number of requirements and in particular as club facilities such as the dressing rooms and tearoom is closed under the current guidelines until the 10th of August we cannot meet the requirements set to host. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.”

Kilcar club chairman John Carr spoke to Ocean FM’s Niall Delaney on North West Today:

The Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps go the go-ahead to begin nationwide from July 20th – with an extensive set of Covid-19 regulations required at every club.

The  official Cúl Camp website crashed on Monday, such was the demand for online registration.
