Sligo parents look to get autism units in schools reopened

Parents of children with autism in county Sligo have started a petition to get autism units in schools reopened this July.

The move is being supported by Sligo-Drumcliffe Councillor Thomas Walsh.

Councillor Walsh says schools closures have left children with autism struggling with a lack of routine and structure during the current pandemic.

He’s submitting the petition to the Minister for Education.
