People encouraged to stay away from open water this bank holiday



Killybegs Coastguard and Bundoran RNLI are joining calls encouraging people to stay away from open water this weekend to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

Gerard O’Flynn from the Coast Guard said, “Now is not the time to become complacent. Please; stay home and stay back to stay safe.’

Water Safety Ireland’s warning temperatures remain very low, which can increase the chances of shock and getting into difficulty.
