While visiting restrictions remain in place at Sligo University Hospital due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital through the Consumer Services Department introduced the ‘Thinking of You’ Initiative’.
This service offers families, friends and neighbours an opportunity to send a letter or message to their loved one in the hospital by email.
All Emails and Letters will be printed, place it in an envelope and deliver it to the patient sealed within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
Speaking to OceanFM News Marian Ryder from Sligo University Hospital says there has been a huge response to the Initiative.
