The committee of the Joe Mooney Summer School in Drumshanbo have confirmed due to the Covid- 19 pandemic the summer school will not take place this year.
The annual event which attracts up to 3000 visitors to the Town every year has been cancelled for the first time in 32 years.
The Chairman of the Joe Mooney Summer School is Dessie Doyle, he says the health and safety of participants, tutors, visitors and the local community was the key factor in their decision to cancel the event:
