Fire services from the north west fight major Leitrim blaze



Fire Services from the North West were among a large number of fire brigade personnel attending a major forest fire near Ballinamore in Co. Leitrim yesterday.

 

The fire broke out on ‘Dun Mountain’ near Aughnasheelin on Sliabh an Iarainn.

 

A helicopter was also assisting at the scene using a ‘bambi bucket’ to scoop water from a nearby lake.
