Sligo Grammar School offers its facilities to Sligo University Hospital

Sligo Grammar School has offered its facilities to the HSE and hospital staff at Sligo University Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement to parents, guardians and students over the weekend, the secondary school said it had been in contact with the Sligo hospital regarding the use of the school facilities, should they be needed, as the school is located across the road from the hospital.

The school has offered its parking facilities to hospital staff and also offered the school buildings to be used for storage of administrative property in order to make room for additional bed space within the hospital, should it be needed.

Sligo Grammar School’s Headmaster, Micheal Hall, says it is something all schools should consider and facilitate if they can during this crisis.
