Arts House, Sunday evening, March 15th, 8pm

In this week’s Arts House, we concentrate on books by well-known Sligo-born authors now living elsewhere. One is by Ballymote man Declan Henry. It’s about the Irish catholic church and is entitled ‘Forbidden Fruit: Life and Catholicism in Contemporary Ireland.’

Another Sligoman, historian and poet Michael Farry, has just published a new book of poetry entitled ‘troubles.’ The centenary of commemorations has seen various publications but this collection, which has a very strong Sligo connection, is surely one of the most imaginative.

And we have arts/entertainment news.
