Number of water mains works taking place



A number of works on water mains are taking place in the region.

They range from repairs to upgrades and will cause disruption to the water supply in areas.

Repairs are taking place that will affect Inver and surrounding areas in Mountcharles between 9am and 5pm today, Doorin Point and Buncronan will be affected from 1pm until 5pm.

The most extensive job is a new connection affecting water around Drumbeagh, Doorin, Cranny Lower, Cranny Upper, Brenter, Inver, Dunkineely and surrounding areas in Co. Donegal.

A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works which are scheduled to be carried out between 7pm this evening until 4am on Tuesday morning.

Works are also being carried out on Tuesday around Main Street in Ballintra and the surrounding area from 9am until 4pm.

In all cases, Irish Water recommend waiting upto 3 hours after the estimated time of completion for the water supply to return to normal.
