There was disappointment for the Summerhill College senior gaelic footballers in Saturday’s Connacht Colleges ‘A’ final as they lost to St Gerald’s of Castlebar by 1-13 to 0-10.
Gerald’s, despite playing against a strong wind in the opening half, led by one at the interval (1-4 to 0-6).
Summerhill had two players red-carded in the second half in separate incidents (two yellows and a black card) as their Mayo opponents closed out the game impressively to score a deserved six-point win.
