Irish Water requested to explain high commercial costs

Calls are being made on Irish water to attend the next meeting of Leitrim County Council to discuss the charges that are currently being issued for commercial connections.

The costs have been described as over expensive and bordering on extortionate by the Cathaoirleach of Leitrim Council, Cllr Enda McGloin.

The  Drumshanbo based Councillor says that the costs in addition to the extensive engineering requirements for connections needs to be examined  as it’s adding an increased cost  for the construction of houses.
