A Sligo councillor is calling for a food and drink strategy to be developed for the county.
Sligo produce, food, restaurants and cafes are already promoted in a number of ways, notably through the Sligo Food Trail, which has just launched a series of new videos.
But Sligo Independent Councillor Marie Casserly says a coordinated and integrated approach is needed involving all those involved in the food and drink business.
She is calling on the Sligo County Council to develop such a strategy but acknowledges it may have to be outsourced to experts in the field.
