A snow/ice warning is in place for the entire country until 9 o’clock tomorrow morning.
Wintry showers, mainly of hail and sleet, will become increasingly widespread today leading to icy patches.
Some snow accumulations will also occur.
Motorists throughout the north west are urged to drive with caution.
