Ireland West Airport in Knock welcomed the biggest passenger plane the world has to offer to the airport yesterday.
The plane, previously owned by Air France can hold close to 900 passengers. It made its final journey from Dresden in Germany and landed with an audience of up to 1,000 people at the airport.
The Airbus A380 has only ever landed in Ireland once before when a diverted flight had to be made at Shannon Airport.
Eirtrade Aviation Ltd are a global technical assets service who requested the delivery of the 2 storey plane so it can be dismantled for parts.
